The Bible shows us many examples of Jesus’s emotions: love, compassion, righteous anger, sadness, and more. In this series, we’ll look at how Jesus processed emotions and how following His example can help us see how our own emotions can be used to fulfill God’s purpose in our lives.
Jesus felt many emotions—and anger was one of them. But there are a few things we can learn about why Jesus got angry, and what He chose to do when He felt strong emotions. When we focus our anger on the right things and channel our emotions the right way, we can start to unite a divided world.
Several tools that may help in the days ahead. First a prayer for when you’re feeling anxious. Also a couple apps, that may help if your own devotional time.
Dear Lord, I come to You today to ask for help. You are my everything. Lord, I need rest. I give You my worry. Take it, Lord. I accept Your peace, love, and understanding. Help me to turn to You and not to myself. Help me to stop doing and start trusting. Help me to wait on Your answers, because I know that they are good. Give me wisdom, hope, and peace. Thank you, Lord, for Your patience and grace. I love You, and I know You love me so much more than I could ever imagine. Amen.
